Re-analysing the effect of HLA matching on blood or marrow transplantation

The effect of HLA matching on blood or marrow transplantation (BMT) outcomes with post-transplant cyclophosphamide was re-analyzed. No significant differences were observed in OS, disease-free survival, relapse rate or nonrelapse mortality (NRM) between the matched unrelated donor (MUD) and Haplo BMTs. MUD BMTs in the reduced-intensity cohort had a lower risk of NRM. The effect of HLA matching was not as significant as in the previous reports.
